Happy Children
The support was mainly taking the children back to school, providing them with clothes, mattresses, blankets, mosquito nets, sanitary pads, scholastic materials among other things. This was done initially by Mr. and Mrs. Kankya Bruce using their hard earned little resources and later Cooperating volunteers provided volunteers.
The organization provides spiritual nurturing, child rights protection, shelter to the homeless children, life skills to the youth and environment protection programs.
I started an initiative called “be a man” which helped 16 boys go back to school. These were helpless boys who had no hope of accessing formal education. The initiative helped the boys start projects in piggery, goats, poultry and farming from which they would raise money to support their educational ambitions.
The urge to fight and find hope for me and fellow vulnerable children has been my driving force since I was a child. I have suffered at the hands of those who claimed to support me and I have found the grace of good people too who were merciful enough to support me until I finished my university education.
Like all successive misfortunes, I failed to find a job after graduation. All of my applications were turned downed without even a chance of meeting me. With a new wife and a baby with no employment, I worked on all kinds of odd jobs available feed my family.
